Two More Cups of Saturday Morning Coffee

There are two cups today because one cannot write about Northern New Jersey without including Dr William Carlos Williams, who not only delivered more than 2000 babies near Rutherford, but also won a Pulitzer Prize for his poetry.  A biographical vignette is first, followed by arguably his most famous poem, a very short but poignant piece called The Red Wheelbarrow.”  He is probably best known for his epic poem, “Paterson” about the development of that City, a microcosmic example of our collective American coming-of-age.
